At Last Justice Is Done To Sialkot Bros

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Death warrants of as many as seven convicts issued in a murder case of two brothers in Sialkot today (Wednesday).

Judge of special courts Justice Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed directed the jail superintendent to execute the inmates, Jameel Jeela, Rashid Mehr, Iqbal, Ameen, Ali Raza, Shafiq and Sarfraz, on April 8. The warrants were issued while rejecting the bail pleas of the suspects.

The incident took place in Sialkot Saddar police station limits on 15 August 2011 when two brothers Muneeb and Mughees were publicly lynched and killed by a mob while police officials stood by and watched. Sialkot Saddar police station lodged two FIRs, the first was lodged on 15 Aug, in which the two brothers were accused of murder and robbery.
